We are an international university in Småland, Sweden. Together we set knowledge in motion for a sustainable societal development.

The Faculty of Technology offers a broad spectrum of activities across nine different departments and is central to the technical education and research conducted at Linnaeus University. The Department of Forest and Wood Technology offers wide-ranging thematic activities from the forest seedling to the finished wood product. This lectureship position is funded through and part of a long-term collaboration among Södra (Sweden’s largest forest-owner industry group), IKEA and Linnaeus University, the objective of which is to develop and enhance competence, knowledge and education. The collaboration, based on innovation and proximity, brings with it a creative and dynamic exchange of knowledge and skills between academia and participating industries for the clear benefit of businesses, owners, customers, researchers/teachers, students and society. Job description:

Key areas of focus for this position include to what extent forestry has impact on the biodiversity, benefits for climate and the water quality of forests, and how nature conservation can be developed in an ecologically and economically efficient way.
