Job description:

Key areas of focus for this position include (i) forestry statistics on how much carbon is stored and harvested in forests, (ii) field measurements of the absorption and emission of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases, and (iii) models estimating the storage of carbon in forests and benefits to the climate from using forest raw materials. Other responsibilities include to participate in and lead the research and education in the department and faculty in one or more of the key areas mentioned above. Work as a Senior Lecturer includes teaching and supervising degree projects and doctoral students in addition to which, due to the project management and research nature of the role, the successful applicant will be required to write scientific articles.

Teaching and research activities are planned and incorporated into the work based on the level of competence of the applicant.
