To alleviate a work peak within our research activities within Microbial Horticulture, we are looking for a skilled research assistant to help out with some project based tasks. You are going to work with experimental activities on project basis. This includes a continuous dialogue with different researchers. You are expected to take responsibility and take action on some well-defined project tasks. The laboratory and experimental tasks include:
- Phenotypic microarray of some bacterial isolates
- To perform laboratory experiments in collaboration with other researchers
- To analyze, document and report experimental data/results
- To conduct screening tasks on integrated horticultural production systems in collaboration with other researchers
- Continuous communication with researchers and project partners.
Qualifications:The successful candidate is a skilled life-science perpetrator with good sense for service and who is attracted by laboratory (microbiological) projects in an environment driven by collaboration and distinct time frames. We welcome a candidate with international experience within horticulture.
Necessary qualifications: Horticulturist (Hortonom); MSc in horticulture. Documented experience with fine reference testimonial on microbiological laborative work and phenotypic microarray. Documented experience on screening of integrated horticultural production systems. Ability to conduct all laboratory tasks in a safe and efficient manner, to maintain a clean and well managed laboratory environment. Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) in English and Swedish and team spirit. Excellent skills for organization and knowledge of human nature. Good computer skills. Swedish driving license class B. Strong emphasis is given to the candidate’s aptitude.
