Position descriptionSchool of Business, society and engineering is looking for a PhD student in energy and environmental engineering.
The position involves working within the research profile Future Energy. The research of the PhD project will focus on modelling, simulation and control of wastewater treatment systems. Fault detection and control strategies will be important parts of the PhD work. The student will work in an international project with the aim to give sustainable solutions for integrated wastewater treatment and water reuse in agriculture or industry.
The work includes both independent work as well as collaboration with colleagues and cooperation partners such as companies and other universities. The research results are presented at meetings, seminars, national and international conferences and in scientific journals.
Employment is limited and equivalent to full-time studies at the graduate level for 4 years.
QualificationsOnly those who are or have been admitted to third-cycle courses and study programmes at a higher education may be appointed to doctoral studentships. For futher information see Chapter 5 of the Higher Education Ordinance (SFS 1993:100).
To be accepted to the graduate program in energy and environmental terms as special eligibility requirements that the student should have one of the following:
- Completed a Master's degree in the relevant subject
- Completed a four-year science education with technical content equivalent to a M.Sc.
- In a different order within the country or abroad acquired knowledge of essentially the same extent.

MeritQualification requirements for the position are:
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment
- Knowledge of modelling, simulation and control or processes.
