This study is carried out with an integrative approach, including physical tests as well as advanced molecular and cellular analyses of muscle and blood samples. The project is co-financed by the Knowledge Foundation, led by researchers from ESPM research group and involves a collaboration with the following partners: Örebro elite football club (ÖSK), Lithuanian Sports University, Picardie Jules Verne University (France) and Polar Electro.

The doctoral student will be supervised by Docent Elodie Ponsot (principal supervisor) and her colleagues within the EPSM research group (assistant supervisor).
